Swift Theater and Stage Concept Design
Digging into the concept of performance as religion in New York, this design references the ethereal feeling of being swept off your feet - ultimately directing the design to one simple, sweeping architectural gesture. The stage occupies one side of the centerpiece with surrounding views of the city, while a small movie theater makes up the underside, complete with cutouts in the wall to allow for reflecting light. Blackout curtains are drawn when a screening is set to begin.
